Airrived has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape assessment for worldwide standalone AI SOC platforms, part of the 2026 vendor review for the segment.

The recognition places Airrived in a market focused on artificial intelligence tools for security operations centres, where vendors are trying to help security teams manage growing alert volumes and investigation workloads.

Airrived is known for what it calls an Agentic OS, a platform designed to let business and technical teams build and run AI agents across cybersecurity, IT and broader enterprise operations. In security operations, it positions the software around triage, investigation and response tasks.

Its software can be deployed in cloud environments, customer virtual private clouds, on-premises systems, private GPU infrastructure and air-gapped settings. That reflects demand from larger organisations that want tighter control over where AI systems and data are hosted.

According to IDC, the MarketScape model compares suppliers in a given market using qualitative and quantitative criteria. The framework is intended to help technology buyers assess vendors' strengths and weaknesses.

Airrived linked the result to pressure on security teams, particularly the mismatch between alert volumes and available staff. It argues that AI in the SOC needs to move beyond assistant-style tools layered onto existing products.

"Being named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape for standalone AI SOC platforms is recognition of a problem security teams already know. Alert volume has outrun headcount, and a copilot on top of the existing stack does not close that gap. SOC teams need agentic reasoning applied to triage, investigation and response, with a record of who owns the agent, what it can touch, where a human signs off and what the action cost. That is what we built. Agentic SOC is one application on the Airrived Agentic OS, and this designation says that application can stand with the platforms built only for the SOC," said Anurag Gurtu, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Airrived.

Security focus

Airrived's position in the assessment is notable because its software spans more than one function. Rather than offering only a dedicated SOC tool, it markets a broader AI operating platform that can also be used in IT and business operations.

That strategy reflects a trend among AI software companies seeking to serve multiple enterprise teams from a common platform while still producing more specialised applications for security and other departments. In Airrived's case, security operations appears to be one of the more prominent use cases.

The business also highlighted governance and control as central to its approach. In practice, that means tracking which AI agents are used, what data and systems they can access, when human approval is required and how actions are monitored.

These issues have become more important as companies weigh the risks of using increasingly autonomous AI systems in core operations. Security teams in particular face scrutiny over how automated tools make decisions and what safeguards are in place before actions are taken in live environments.

Deployment model

Airrived said customers can keep data, models, agents and related operations under their own control. That flexibility is likely to appeal most to large organisations in regulated sectors or those restricted from moving sensitive information into shared cloud services.

It said it has adoption across Fortune 150 enterprises and other organisations globally, though it did not disclose customer numbers or revenue. It also pointed to product developments including agent observability tools and what it describes as sovereign AI features.

For buyers in the market for AI-based security operations software, the IDC MarketScape result may give Airrived greater visibility against vendors focused solely on the SOC. At the same time, the competitive landscape remains crowded, with suppliers differentiating themselves on automation, governance, deployment options and the extent to which humans remain in the loop.
