SSP UK and Ireland has acquired insurance software provider IS2, adding commercial product distribution and e-trading technology to its business.
The price was not disclosed. IS2 provides Commercial Lines policy administration and product distribution technology to insurers, insurtechs, managing general agents and scheme brokers.
Founded in 1996, IS2 has built its business around digital trading and automation tools for insurance providers looking to expand online distribution. It was named in the Global InsurTech100 in 2025 and 2026.
Its main products include Atlas, an API-first policy administration platform, and RAPID, an API-first distribution system for scheme products. Atlas includes back-office functions, an underwriting portal, accounting tools and self-service features across the policy lifecycle.
RAPID distributes insurance products through channels including brokers, managing general agents, software companies, insurtechs, digital banks, affinity partners and embedded insurance providers. The platform applies channel-specific rules such as discounts or rating adjustments, allowing insurers to avoid creating separate versions of the same product for different routes to market.
For SSP UK and Ireland, the deal marks its first major acquisition since the business became standalone under the ownership of Vencora, SSP's parent company. It also expands SSP UK and Ireland's reach in commercial and niche insurance lines.

Owner backing
Vencora said the combination brings together IS2's specialism in commercial e-trading and product distribution with SSP UK and Ireland's existing broker and MGA customer base. Vencora acquired SSP in 2021 and operates software businesses across banking, insurance and financial services.

IS2 will keep its brand and remain under the leadership of Founder and Managing Director Simon Pritchard and the existing management team.
SSP UK and Ireland supplies technology used by insurance brokers and managing general agents to write and administer policies in personal and commercial lines. Its systems cover customer management, policy renewals and claims processing.
IS2 is more closely focused on the commercial distribution side of the market, particularly helping insurance providers build or expand digital channels and automate administration. That specialism may strengthen SSP UK and Ireland's position with insurers and intermediaries seeking to distribute products through multiple routes without rebuilding systems for each one.
