FPT launches MediSight AI framework for healthcare

FPT has launched MediSight, an artificial intelligence framework for healthcare and life sciences organisations, aimed at clinical, operational and regulatory work.

The product is designed for healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies and medical device manufacturers that need to manage fragmented data and automate routine processes in regulated settings.

MediSight combines autonomous digital workers, healthcare applications and a data platform built to handle common healthcare information standards, including FHIR, HL7, DICOM and CDA. It is intended to support tasks such as claims administration, clinical trials, virtual care, medical imaging, patient engagement, documentation and compliance.

The framework is structured in three layers. The Healthcare Insight Platform provides the data foundation, including data mapping, de-identification and clinical terminology standardisation. MediSight Crew covers autonomous AI agents and digital workers for administrative, clinical and compliance tasks, while MediSight Verse includes applications for clinic management, analytics and other healthcare functions.

MediSight can be deployed across major cloud environments and integrated with existing healthcare systems. FPT said it supports requirements including HIPAA, HITRUST r2 and ISO 27001, reflecting the tighter controls expected in healthcare and life sciences technology.

The launch expands FPT's healthcare and life sciences portfolio, where the group says it has worked with providers, drugmakers and device companies for nearly two decades. It also cited certifications and standards including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, HL7 and DICOM.

Data focus

Healthcare groups have been under pressure to make wider use of artificial intelligence while staying within strict rules on privacy, safety and auditability. One of the main barriers has been fragmented clinical and operational data spread across multiple systems and formats.

By building around established healthcare data standards, FPT is positioning MediSight as a framework that can work across existing technology estates rather than require a full replacement of current systems. This approach is meant to improve data traceability, streamline compliance processes and reduce manual work.

The framework also fits into FPT's wider push into AI-led services. MediSight is part of an effort to help organisations move from limited AI experiments to broader use in day-to-day operations.

The MediSight launch places FPT in a crowded market for healthcare AI tools, where suppliers are trying to show that automation can be introduced without weakening governance. In practice, buyers in the sector have tended to focus first on administrative and documentation tasks before extending AI systems into more sensitive clinical and regulatory workflows.

That makes interoperability and audit controls central to product design. FPT said MediSight was built to help organisations address those issues while structuring large volumes of healthcare data for wider use across software development, care delivery and business operations.

For healthcare providers and life sciences companies, the immediate question will be whether such frameworks can reduce the burden of manual administration and compliance work without creating new oversight risks. FPT's answer is a platform built around standardised data handling, digital workers and controls designed for regulated environments.
