Storm named Orchestry's first Irish premium partner

Storm Technology has been named an Orchestry Premium Partner, becoming the first Irish company to hold that status.

The designation also places Storm among four Orchestry Premium Partners worldwide.

The move deepens the partnership between the Dublin-headquartered Microsoft consultancy and Orchestry, a platform focused on governance and management across Microsoft 365. The new status reflects Storm's work deploying the platform for customers seeking tighter control over collaboration tools and data across their Microsoft environments.

Irish organisations face increasing scrutiny over how information is stored, shared and accessed across tools such as Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive. That has made governance software a more prominent part of Microsoft 365 projects, particularly as businesses consider wider use of artificial intelligence tools that rely on access to company data.

The partnership will support Storm's work with customers on governance, security and what it describes as AI readiness. In practice, that centres on issues such as content sprawl, unmanaged guest access, oversharing, inactive workspaces and storage use across Microsoft 365 estates.

Governance focus

The Orchestry platform is designed to give organisations greater visibility and control across the Microsoft 365 suite. That can include setting standards for workspaces, monitoring permissions and improving oversight of how digital collaboration environments are used.

For many organisations, those controls have become more important as AI products such as Microsoft Copilot move from trial use into broader deployment. Before expanding the use of AI tools that can surface information from across a tenant, companies need to know what data exists, who can access it and whether old or duplicative content remains available.

Storm traces its relationship with Orchestry to 2023. The latest partner tier means the two companies will work more closely in the Irish market as customers review governance arrangements around Microsoft 365 and seek to reduce security risks linked to poorly managed collaboration environments.

The development also comes as consultancies and software providers seek a stronger role in helping businesses prepare existing digital estates for AI adoption. That work often involves less new software roll-out and more rationalising legacy content, permission structures and workspace management.

Partner standing

Storm is part of Littlefish Group and operates from Dublin, Galway and Belfast. The business works across sectors including hospitality, construction, utilities, sustainable energy and the public sector, with Microsoft-related consulting a central part of its offering.

Orchestry, which focuses on Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online, positions its software around standardisation, governance and adoption. Its approach is aimed at helping organisations decide how different Microsoft 365 tools should be used and governed across a business.

The companies framed the premium partnership as recognition of Storm's track record in customer delivery and Microsoft 365 expertise. In the Irish market, the announcement also signals how governance and security work around workplace software is becoming a distinct area of advisory and implementation demand.
